10. Treffen der Goodeid (GWG) und Xiphophorus (XWG) Arbeitsgruppen in Maribor

Am 02.06 - 04.06. 2023 fand das 10. europäische Treffen der Goodeid Working Group (GWG) in Maribor / Slowenien statt. Dies, wie in den letzten Jahren üblich, in Union mit der Xiphophorus Working Group (XWG). Vertreten waren Teilnehmer aus 8 Ländern und wie üblich gab es mehrere informative Vorträge zu Lebensraum, Bedrohungsstatus und laufende Erhaltungs- bzw. Schutzprojekte. Außerdem wurde dieses Treffen auch genutzt um Fische auszutauschen und bestehende Kontakte zu pflegen bzw. neue zu knüpfen. Die Arbeitsgruppen berücksichtigen die ÖVVÖ Erhaltungszuchtprojekte  „Xiphophorus - Northern Platyfish“ und „Allotoca - Mesa Central“. Vielen Dank an die slowenischen Freunde, die dieses Treffen organisiert haben.

The 10th European meeting of the Goodeid Working Group (GWG) took place from 02.06. to 04.06.2023 in Maribor (Slovenia). The Xiphophorus Working Group (XWG) also joined the conference as usual within the last years. Participants from 8 countries were present and there were several informative presentations on species habitats, threat status and ongoing conservation projects. In addition, this meeting was also used to exchange fish and to maintain existing contacts or to establish new ones. Many thanks to the Slovenian friends who organized this meeting.
